MUNCIE, Ind. – The first meeting of Ball State University alumni in
Nigeria took place June 10.
Attendees included Silas O. M. Anyaegbu, BS ‘83 and MA ‘84, who is
the retired vice principal of Madonna Senior Science School, Etiti, Imo
State; Clement O. Opara, BS ‘83 and MA ‘84, principal of St. Michael
Secondary School, Orsu Obodo Oguta, Imo State; and Chief Joshua I. Onuoha,
BS ‘83, coordinator/acting president of the Ball State Alumni
Association Nigeria Chapter.
Chief Onuoha is also the principal of Ntigha Secondary Grammar School, Isiala ngwa north L.G.A. Abia State. The community where he teaches gave him the title of chief based on his service to the community and his administrative leadership within the school.
Alumni unable to attend included Reverend Clement I. Anegbe, O. Eke, Anthony Ufodo and Chief A. R. Eleke.
Nearly 90 Ball State graduates currently live in Nigeria.
