The program includes a 20-minute slide show about the impact the mountaintop removal on coalfield communities featuring traditional Appalachian mountain music and aerial photos of a decapitated mountain range. The presentations, free and open to the public, are from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Nov. 2 in West Quad, room 127, and 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Nov. 3 in the L.A. Pittenger Student Center Forum Room.
The presentations are sponsored by Ball State's Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management, Council on the Environment, Honor's College, Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies and the Center for Energy Research, Education and Service.
