Former Conseco executive to discuss leadership Oct. 19 at Ball State (10/7/2005)
A former Conseco Inc. executive is the featured speaker Oct. 19 for the "Lessons Learned in Leadership" series sponsored by the Miller College of Business at Ball State.

Human resources consultant Nora Bammann, a former senior vice president and director of human resources for Conseco, will discuss her career path at 5 p.m. in the Alumni Center, 2800 W. Bethel Ave.  The even is free and open to the public.

Bammann joined Conseco, an insurance holding company based in Carmel, in 1987 and was promoted to vice president in 2003. She worked alongside the company's executive team, providing human resources leadership and strategy while directing the implementation of consolidated human resource policies, programs and services into a centralized shared service.

Prior to Conseco, Bammann, a Carmel resident, worked for Overland Express, Melvin Simon & Associates, Little League Baseball and Physicians Health Plan of Northern Indiana.

A 1984 Ball State graduate, she earned a bachelor's degree in management science with concentrations in management information systems and human resources. Bammann is a member of the Miller College of Business Executive Advisory Board and in 2004, was the recipient of the college's Alumni Award of Achievement.
