MUNCIE, Ind. -- Eight Ball State University employees have been nominated for the A. Jane Morton Award.
The recipient will be announced April 22 at the Staff Personnel Recognition and Retirement Dinner in the L.A. Pittenger Student Center Cardinal Hall.
The award is given annually in recognition of outstanding service to all segments of the university community by a staff personnel employee.
Nominees are Adrian Adams, chemistry lab manager, Chemistry; Leona Barber, receptionist/secretary, Graduate School; Gail Carmichael, administrative coordinator, Criminal Justice and Criminology; Marsha Daugherty, secretary to the vice president, Student Affairs; Carolyn Conaway, office manager, College of Fine Arts; Mardell Kuhns, administrative coordinators, Educational Leadership; Charles Scofield, facilities assignment coordinator, Student Center; and Lynne White, secretary to the associate provost, Office of Associate Provost.
The award is a memorial to the late A. Jane Morton, a staff personnel employee in the Office of Academic Research and Sponsored Programs, who exemplified the qualities recognized by the award.
