MUNCIE, Ind. -- A set of video case studies on American government produced
by WIPB-TV at Ball State
University has been recognized nationally in the third annual AXIEM Awards.
The AXIEM AWARDS is an
international competition that recognizes "absolute excellence in
electronic media." It is the only award representing the entire electronic media industry.
Nearly 1,600 entries were received for the 2001 competition.
WIPB-TV received a Silver AXIEM for its work on "Harcourt-Brace Video Case Studies in American Government" for Ralph E. Baker and Joseph A. Losco Educational Videos, Inc.
The following WIPB-TV and University Teleplex employees completed work on the award-winning program:
- Dee Norris-Helms, producer/director and editor
- Cathy Morton, graphic artist and animator
- Dottie Kreps, associate producer, editor, audio specialist
- Valerie Morris, animator
- Heather Hunt, assistant producer and editor
WLBC on-air host and Indianapolis Radio Network host Kim Morris was narrator for the program.
Baker is a professor of political science and Losco is the chairperson of the political science department at Ball State. The Harcourt-Brace Case Studies were honored earlier this year with a Telly Award.
