The hearing will allow members of the public to comment on the university's proposed fees for the 2005-2006 and 2006-2007 years. The specifics of the proposal will be available following a discussion of it at the trustees regularly scheduled meeting at
The trustees will not take action on the proposal until after they receive public input at the May 13 forum.
The university held its first public forum April 21 but did not discuss a specific fee proposal. The Indiana General Assembly passed a new state budget April 29 that included appropriations for Ball State, giving the university administration the information necessary to bring a tuition proposal before the trustees.
