
Dick Wolfsie
Author and television features reporter Dick Wolfsie will be the keynote speaker for the second annual Indiana Conference on Aging Well May 19 at Ball State University.
"Celebrating Active Aging" runs from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Ball State Alumni Center, 2800 W. Bethel Ave. The conference is part of Indiana's celebration of Older Americans Month and has sessions focusing on journal writing, health, gardening and spirituality.
Wolfsie, who provides humorous stories and interviews during the morning news program for WISH-TV, will speak at 10:15 a.m. He is the author of five books, including "Indiana Curiosities: Quirky Characters and Roadside Oddities and Other Offbeat Stuff." He also contributes articles to Indianapolis Monthly Magazine and writes a syndicated humor column for about 20 newspapers in the state.
