MUNCIE, Ind. – Donna Biggs, principal of Burris
Laboratory School, recently graduated from the Indiana Principal Leadership
Academy.
The program trains administrators to be strong leaders within their schools
and makes them aware of effective methods that can be immediately put to
practical use.
Established by the Indiana General Assembly in 1986 and operated by the Indiana Department of Education, the academy provides in-depth professional development in four areas of leadership of a two-year period. The program is designed to strengthen administrative skills through training in educational leadership, school culture, teaching for learning and communication.
