WIPB and University Teleplex employees who worked on "Harcourt Brace's Video Case Studies in American Government" were Dee Norris-Helms, producer/director; Cathy Morton, graphic artist; Dottie Kreps, associate producer, editor, audio specialist; Valerie Morris, animator and Heather Hunt, assistant producer/editor. WLBC on-air host and Indianapolis Radio Network host Kim Morris was narrator for the case studies.
WIPB and Teleplex employees producing "The 2000 Campaign" Helms, producer/director and editor; Morton, graphic artist; Kreps, assistant producer, editor and audio specialist; Morris, animator; Hunt, associate producer/editor; Sam Clemmons, videographer and Sharolyn Waters, lighting and field audio; and Paul Poteet of WRTV 6 and WHIT was narrator for the campaign video.
This is the second time a Telly has been awarded to Baker/Losco, WIPB and the Teleplex.
The Telly was founded in 1980 and gives recognition to outstanding non-network and cable television commercials, film and video productions and non-network television programming. It has become the most sought-after award in the industry.
This year there were more than 11,000 entries nationwide, which were judged by past winners who rated each entry on a standard of excellence.
Former Telly award winners include DreamWorks SKG, Miramax Films, Warner Bros., HBO and Coca-Cola USA.
A PBS affiliate, WIPB-TV, is licensed to Ball State University and serves more than 390,000 households in East Central Indiana and Western Ohio.
