Phi Kappa Phi, a national honor society, will initiate faculty and student members Nov. 14 at Ball State University.
Ball State's chapter also will install chapter officers during the event, which is free and open to the public, at 2 p.m. in the L.A. Pittenger Student Center, Cardinal Hall.

The chapter's new officers are:
- President – Linda Martin, elementary education professor
- President elect – Laura O'Hara, communication studies professor
- Vice president – Marilyn Buck, exercise science professor
- Secretary – Jean Amman, assistant to the provost
- Treasurer – Jeffrey Hornsby, management professor
- Public relations officer – Jacquelyn Buckrop, associate dean of the College of Communication, Information, and Media
- Student board members – Kimberly Ann Miller, psychological science; Rama Munajat, linguistics; Jenny Gibson, English; Gaylena Merritt, English and history; Thomas Murray, theater; and Abby Siskind, dance.
