President Jo Ann M. Gora was featured Aug. 26 on Talk of Indiana, a live call-in program that was simulcast on Ball State's public radio and television stations.

The hour-long broadcast originated from Indiana Public Radio's studios in the Ball Communication Building and also aired on WIPB-TV. Gora answered questions from the show's hosts, Chris Bavender of Newslink Indiana and Larry Riley, a Ball State journalism instructor and Muncie Star Press columnist. She also took phone calls, e-mails and questions from a journalism class in the studio.

Early in the program, Gora said Ball State's "potential for greatness" prompted her decision to seek the university's presidency. (Listen – Read)

Gora also spoke on other topics such as the role of Division 1-A athletics at Ball State, enrollment and the balance of research and teaching at the university. She talked about Ball State's opportunity to play a prominent role in keeping the state's college graduates in Indiana. (Listen – Read)
