“The relationships developed during the last 10 years between individual faculty at the partner institutions have resulted in educational experiences that are richly rewarding,” said Judy Lane, program manager.
Turkish visitors will attend graduate classes in the College of Business, tour area businesses with executives, participate in social and cultural events, and visit Indianapolis and Chicago.
Business leaders hosting the group locally include Will Davis, Ontario Systems; Karla Powell, Paws Inc.; and John and Jim Wagner, City Machine. The group will also tour the Subaru-Isuzu facility in Lafayette and Federal Express in Indianapolis.
To enrich their understanding of American life, the Turkish students will join their Ball State counterparts on volunteer service assignments in the local community Feb. 28.
Turkish students will also visit the Indianapolis 500 complex, the state capitol building in Indianapolis and attend an Indiana Pacers game. The visit ends with a tour of Chicago.
Ball State’s College of Business is sponsoring a student field study in May and the university is promoting a faculty and staff exchange later that month.
