Each year the Center for Organizational Resources (COR) recognizes Ball State faculty, staff and professional trainers who are committed to student and client satisfaction, excellence in the development of training and long-term and loyal partnerships with organizations in Indiana.
Pamela Stant, technical training analyst, received the Outstanding Internal Award. She is an instructor in COR's open enrollment, noncredit computer training programs.
"Pam is a dedicated and gifted trainer who has devoted countless hours to developing incredible training materials and taking the extra steps in making certain that the students are successful in learning the course content and computer skills," said Delaina Boyd, COR director.
Ball State alumnus Jason Moore, a training consultant at the Muncie-based Ontario Systems, received the Outstanding External Award. He was honored for developing and delivering training under COR's Microsoft Office Specialist Certification initiative.
While Moore was working on his master's degree, he interned with COR and was instrumental in the center's computer lab to obtain authorized testing center status through Microsoft, Boyd said.
"Jason has continued his relationship with COR after graduation and always exceeds our expectations with respect to the quality and timeliness of his work," she said.
The Center for Organizational Resources develops and manages training and consulting projects for businesses and organizations as well as workforce development programs. COR is a part of Ball State's School of Extended Education.
