MUNCIE, Ind. – John Huffer, coordinator of photographic services for Ball State University, has won a first-place and three second-place awards from the University Photographers Association of America’s Web image competition.

This is the fifth time in six years that Huffer has won first-place awards from the association.

The UPAA is an international organization of college and university photographers concerned with the application practice of photography as it relates to the higher education setting.

Huffer won first in the personal vision division with a digitally manipulated image of a baseball pitcher he photographed for the Indianapolis Indians baseball team.

His second-place awards were in the news feature category with an image that appeared on the Ball State News Center; in the portrait/people division for a photo taken at the Homecoming Variety Show for the Alumni Association and in the sports division for a baseball image.
