In the most recent competition, three Web images by university photographers won top awards.

• Michael Hickey’s photo taken at December’s “Dance! Dance! Dance!” production was best of show.

• Hickey’s photo of a Ball State band drum major won first prize in the news and features category.

• John Huffer’s photo of Matt Denmark high jumping at the MAC track championships last May won first in sports.

This is the sixth time in seven years that Huffer has won a first place award.

Last year Huffer won a first place and three second place awards in the annual Web image competition.
