Ball State hosts Women’s Week to April 2 (3/12/2004)
Ramona Africa, a self-proclaimed American political prisoner, will be one of the featured speakers during Women's Week March 29 to April 2 at Ball State University.

Africa, the sole adult survivor of the 1985 bombing by Philadelphia police of the radical group MOVE's headquarters, will discuss "Women and Revolution" at 7 p.m. March 31 in the L.A. Pittenger Student Center Ballroom. Her address is free and open to the public.

Women's Week, organized by Ball State's Women's Studies Program,  provides a forum for learning and teaching about women's lives and the way society defines gender roles. All events are free and open to the public.

This year marks the 17th anniversary of on-campus programming during National Women's History Month and the 31st anniversary of the first women's studies course at Ball State.
