University Relations photographer John Huffer's image of a student swimmer won first place in the sports category of the University Photographers Association of America's annual slide competition.

This is the fourth time in five years that Huffer won first place in the sports category of the University Photographers' Association of America's annual slide competition.

The UPAA is an international organization of college and university photographers concerned with the application and practice of photography as it relates to the higher education setting.

Three years ago, Huffer swept first, second and third places in the division.
