Control Room Sign-up Policy.

1. The following policies determine limitations and sign-up procedures for numbers of hours in Studio 1 and Studio 2 combined. (For the purposes of this policy, the week begins on Monday.)
2. Each student signed up for the recording class (MUMET 235 or MUMET 236) may sign up in advance for a maximum of 4 hours of time per week (in both studios combined) for editing or mixing.
3. Each student taking the recording workshop, MUMET 330/330A, may sign up in advance for a maximum of 6 hours of time per week for editing or mixing.
4. Students in MUMET 430 may sign up in advance for a maximum of 8 hours per week for editing or mixing.
5. Students bringing musicians into the studio for a tracking session may sign up for additional hours per week for the tracking session(s). Hours can be booked all on one day or over multiple days.
   • 4 additional hours per week for MUMET 235/236
   • 6 additional hours per week for MUMET 330
   • 8 additional hours per week for MUMET 330A
   • 16 additional hours per week for MUMET 430; MAX 8 hours per day (to be courteous to other engineers, the maximum time should only be invoked once or twice per semester.)
6. If there is free time on any given day, any student may sign up for up to 4 extra hours for that day, but he/she must sign up for this time no more than two days before the session.
7. On any given day, if there is any available time left for that same day, any student may sign up for as much time as they want for that same day.
