A native of St Petersburg, Ms. Vayman came to Ball State University from the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music where she taught violin, chamber music and orchestral repertoire class. Her former students enjoy successful careers in higher education, symphony orchestras and K-12 music education. Prior to joining the CCM violin faculty Ms. Vayman has held a prestigious position of an Assistant Concertmistress of the renowned Kirov Orchestra of the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg, Ms. Vayman began her violin studies at the age of six at the St. Petersburg Music School for Gifted Children .She earned her Master of Music Diploma with Honors under Mikhail Gantvarg at the St. Petersburg State Conservatory. On the invitation of Isaac Stern she attended Aspen Music Festival as a fellowship recipient. A winner of CCM Concerto Competition she received her Artist Diploma from the Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music where her teachers included Henry Meyer, Kurt Sassmannshaus and Dorothy Delay. She has enjoyed private studies with Isaac Stern and Igor Oistrach, and chamber music studies with members of Taneev Quartet, LaSalle Quartet, Tokyo String Quartet and Zehetmair Quartet. |
