All master's students must take core classes in music history and music theory, and they must complete a creative project recital, research methodology course plan, research paper, or thesis. A comprehensive oral exam is required during students' last term of study.
Graduate students who are teachers may professionalize the standard all-grade teaching certificate during their master's program in music.
Our master's programs are accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music. Learn more about these programs by following the links to the right, or contact Kirby Koriath, coordinator of graduate programs in music.
