The Ball State School of Music boasts an outstanding faculty of more than 70 artists, teachers, and scholars who interact every day with students and colleagues. Faculty members gain national and international recognition for their accomplishments as performers, composers, conductors, and innovators in the profession, as well as for their commitment to teaching.
School of Music faculty activity can be represented by one recent year when students and faculty were featured at events in 44 states and in 16 foreign countries on three continents.
Music scholars distinguish themselves by publishing research, critical reviews, and new perspectives in books and in major journals and other professional publications. Nationally prominent composers are among the faculty, and their works are performed throughout the world.
Ball State music faculty members maintain active professional lives, contributing to the more than 300 campus and community concerts, recitals, and lectures in the School of Music's annual events series, throughout the United States, and abroad.
