Undergraduate Advising

At the beginning of his or her college career, each student at Ball State University is assigned an advisor to assist in course selection and clarification of university requirements and to maintain individual records throughout the student's time at Ball State.

Freshman advisors are housed in University College. Freshman music students also are assigned an advisor from the School of Music faculty. This advisor continues to serve assigned music majors throughout the student's career.

In addition, the Coordinator of Undergraduate Programs in Music is available for individual student consultation regarding all facets of the music curriculum. Students wishing to major or minor in any of the programs offered in the School of Music should see the coordinator as early in their college careers as possible.
