Historic Architecture Tour
Introduction
Navigate through Ball State's beginnings with this historic architecture tour of the 10 acres on campus known as the Old Quadrangle.

The tour also extends to other landmarks, such as the university's outdoor teaching laboratory and the football field used before the stadium was built.

Explore the tour online using the links on the left, which include a description of the history and architectural signficance of each stop along the tour. For a walking tour, try the print-friendly version to take along, which includes a map and descriptions of each stop.

The Old Quad is bordered by McKinley Avenue, Jarret Street, Talley Street, and University Avenue.

This corner of the Old Quadrangle is the site of the North Quad building, which once housed the university's library and assembly hall.
Information for this tour was produced by the  Masters in Historic Preservation program in the College of Architecture and Planning with support from the Office of the Provost.
