Ball State Library databases:
There's no better place to start than right here at home.  Tap into hundreds of databases on the library's website.

JournalismNet's "Find People" resourcesNothing I could create here could beat JounalismNet's wonderful tip sheets and links for for finding expert sources and people using the Internet's resources.

Powerreporting.com's experts databases:  Well, maybe except for this website.  Look at Bill Dedman's Powerreporting site (Pulitzer-Prize winning reporter) for links to thousands of expert sources available through the Internet.

Switchboard: The best online telephone directory.  Find addresses, telephone numbers (and sometimes e-mail addresses) for anyone who is currently listed in any metropolitan telephone directory.

Guestfinder: A great way to search for expert authors on various topics.  Browse Guestfinder's list of topics to find ideas for your articles.

Associations on the Net: Use the Internet Public Library's database of thousands of professional associations and organizations.  Most of these associations are happy to provide experts and other resources on the issues they represent.
