Instructional Services is a multifaceted effort designed to reach out to students in a variety of ways, including:

  • orientations to University Libraries collections and services
  • self-guided tours of our facilities
  • walk-in workshops on a variety of topics
  • specific course-related instruction

Technology Training Support Services in Bracken Library offers free professional training opportunities for the Ball State Community.

University Computing Services provides consulting and assistance with technology products supported by the University.

Knowledge Base - a centralized information repository concerning computers and computing.

Product manuals - documentation for various computer operating systems and software packages.

Tech Clips - a collection of Macromedia Flash how-to movies that help guide users through various Microsoft and university applications such as Outlook, Front Page, Word, iLocker and Blackboard.

The Office of Teaching and Learning (OTLA) is the BSU faculty professional development office that helps faculty learn and make decisions for what they do in the classroom.  They offer several services including training on Blackboard.
