Luke "Eric" Lassiter
Luke "Eric" Lassiter was a member of the Ball State University faculty from 1996 to 2005. He currently directs the Graduate Humanities Program at Marshall University Graduate College in South Charleston, West Virginia, where he is also Professor of Humanities and Anthropology. Lassiter is the author of several books, including Invitation to Anthropology, The Chicago Guide to Collaborative Ethnography, and, with Elizabeth Campbell, Hurley Goodall, Michelle Natasya Johnson and BSU students, The Other Side of Middletown. He is a Fellow of the Society for Applied Anthropology and the recepient of the Margaret Mead Award.

Eric received his PhD in Anthropology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he focused his studies on ethnographic theory and practice, social memory, and expressive culture. During the years that Eric worked at BSU, he taught classes in cultural anthropology, and, as a Fellow at the Virginia B. Ball Center for Creative Inquiry, collaborative ethnography.
