Brenda L. Burk

Brenda L. Burk is the Philanthropic Studies Archivist at IUPUI University Library Special Collections and Archives in Indianapolis. She is a member of the Special Collections Team with a primary responsibility of developing and maintaining the philanthropic studies archives. The collections include the historical records of organizations and individuals that have worked as advocates for the nonprofit sector, fund raising firms that help nonprofit organizations raise money, foundations and individual philanthropists, organizations devoted to the study of philanthropy, and nonprofit organizations that provide social services, particularly in central Indiana.

Brenda holds a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Studies and a Bachelor’s Degree in History from the University of Wisconsin.
