
Using the slide scanner
The Visual Resources Collection (VRC) now offers one-on-one training sessions in the use of the Architecture Images Collection in the Digital Media Repository (which now has more than 60,000 architecture, landscape architecture and planning images).
These sessions are targeted to faculty and/or their teaching/grad assistants and may be scheduled at your convenience between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM Monday through Friday.
- PowerPoint Generator for the DMR
Find out how to use the PowerPoint Generator to download batches of images from the DMR directly into a PowerPoint presentation. Practice using the generator by saving images to the My Favorites folder and viewing the My Favorites window. - Creating PowerPoint presentations using Visual Resources Collection Images (in the DMR)
Learn to search the DMR & the basics for creating PowerPoint presentations using VRC images! Also, find out how to quickly download selected VRC images into a presentation using the PowerPoint Generator for the DMR or to copy and paste images from other sources into a presentation quickly and easily. - Using the Slide Scanner
Learn how to scan your own images to add to your classroom presentations. This session will teach you how to scan, resize and save images to a disc, a jump drive or your I-Locker account. - Creating course pages using the DMR's "My Favorites" feature
Images saved in the ‘My Favorites" folder can be saved as a page, posted to the web, and linked to Blackboard or course pages. This session will outline the process.
