Music Collection Counter

Student Assistant helps a customer

The Music Collection counter is a full service circulation and information center. Books, reserve materials and scores may be checked in or out. Music reserves should be returned only to the Music Collection counter.

The Music Collection Counter houses over 17,000 compact discs and LPs (the majority of which circulate) and functions as an area for course reserves for classes in music history, appreciation, and theory. Students can listen to reserve or reference recordings in carrels east of the music stacks. High-quality headphones are available for checkout at the counter.  Unauthorized copying of copyrighted material is prohibited by law.

Recordings are listed in CardCat. See Searching CardCat for Music Materials to learn more about finding recordings. For popular music styles you can also use Media Finder's Musical Recordings (Other Than Classical).
