In accordance with the DMCA, infringements of copyright law will be dealt with according to provisions of the Computer Users' Privileges and Responsibilities document (SANCTIONS) (See Related Links). Repeated infringements will be dealt with more harshly.
Take-down and Notice Procedure
Upon receipt of an alleged copyright infringement, the designated copyright agent will evaluate the alleged copyright infringement and the page owner will be notified of the allegation. BSU anticipates voluntary take-down of the work(s) in question. However, the University reserves the right to disable access to the work(s) with or without permission of the page owner as per the DMCA.
Notice and Putback Procedure
Upon notice of an alleged copyright infringement, the page owner may file a counter notification. The counter notification may ask for the work(s) to be reinstated since the removal or blocking was a result of a mistake or a misidentification of the material.
