1. Announcements

• None

2. CONTENTdm 6 update

• Issue of maintaining collection access limitations in CDM6 needs to be addressed.
• Migration of aspects of the user interface in CDM6 is also an issue to be addressed.
• We will create a small working group to identify customized functions that we want to carry forward. The group will consist of Benjamin, Robert, Jim, Michael, Amanda, and Bethany.
• We will aim to have a preliminary meeting of this group soon and give a report to the group at the next meeting.

3. Digital initiatives performance indicators updated (# of digital assets since July 1, 2012, towards goal); revised goal of 40%

• The annual goal is now 13,431 in order to reach revised 5-year goal of 235,035.
• We are currently at 38% of our annual goal.

4. Board of Trustees minutes

• The Board of Trustees minutes may be added in the future to the DMR, with a date range to be determined.
• Between 1918 and 1980, there are 700 assets.

5. Romanian Oral histories

• Jim has matched 30 transcripts and audio recordings. A pilot collection will be created from these assets.

6. Ball State Electronic Field Trips videos

• Archives & Special Collections received a collection of Electronic Field Trip Betacam tapes created by Ball State University to be digitized and added to the DMR. Funding for digitization outsourceing has been approved.
• University Libraries is being offered a beta machine by Emerging Media, so in-house digitization may be an option.

7. Collections update

• Thomas Jefferson Bowles – Collection Published
• Hattie Patterson letters added to Muncie Public Library collection
• A sub-splash page will be created for these assets
• Art History collection is being expanded, a 2,500 record growth is expected
• A significant collection of Ball State University campus photographs will be added
• 150 Ball State and Muncie films will be added this month
• Burris School collection scanning nearly complete
• Student Life collection scanning nearly complete
• Indiana Bridge Company cards scanning nearing completion
• Vernon Freeman collection to be digitized soon
• John Nelson Bell collection to be digitized soon
• Cecil Madill collection to be digitized soon
