This module will focus on different sources of information, where to find these sources, and how to choose the best ones for your research. You will learn to:

  • Identify a variety of information sources
  • Recognize that appropriate sources of information will change depending on your needs
  • Identify characteristics of information on the Web
  • Identify characteristics of library resources
  • Recognize that library collections are located in buildings and on the Web
  • Recall what you would find in a database
  • List reasons to use a database
  • Distinguish between popular and scholarly periodicals

It should take you approximately 10-15 minutes to complete Module 1.
