Free printing for students and faculty in the Libraries from desktops and laptops, up to a limit of 500 exposures. (This free allocation not available for BSU Campus Organizations.) Color printing from computers for only 25 cents per exposure.
Check Print Balance
Students and Faculty are allowed 500 page impressions on library printers per academic session before a .05 per page charge is assessed. Check your "print balance".
Wireless Laptop Printing
Students and faculty may remotely print to several printers in Bracken, as well as the Architecture Library and Science/Health Science Library, through Wireless Laptop Printing. Learn more in the Wireless Laptop Printing FAQ.
Large-Format Laminating
Bracken Library offers access to a 42-inch laminator, at a cost of $3 per linear foot. Visit Bracken’s second floor Geospatial Resources and Map Collection.
Large Format Printing
Bracken offers access to a 42" large-format color plotter for large print jobs. Printing is available in 36" width, too. Costs are $8 for lengths 36" and under and an additional $2 for every additional 36" or fraction thereof. User of the plotter is restricted to BSU ID holders. Printer Guidelines
Photocopying
Bracken offers 7 black-and-white photocopiers. The standard price is $0.10/copy ($0.20 for ledger size). There are also 2 color photocopiers, at $0.25/copy (regardless of size). BSU ID holders receive a 50% discount on b/w copies when using a Copy Card.
Looking for a spacious, quiet place to study? Do you need a place to meet for a group project? Bracken offers 15 Group Study Rooms. And to make it easier, our study rooms can now be reserved online by Ball State students, faculty and staff.
Conference Rooms
Bracken has two large Conference Rooms (BL-215 and BL-104). Each room has projection systems, a lectern, and Internet access. BL-215 includes chart stands, while BL-104 will soon have cutting edge technology, such as video conferencing, 3 LCD screens, wireless microphones and sound system, overhead projector, and more.
Video equipment is available for students and faculty to check out for class and independent projects. Items include Sony PD1170 DV camcorder, microphones, cables, pocket video cameras, and much more!
