Should you use it?: Tips for Evaluating Information (Ball State University Libraries)
Things to consider:
- Who is the author of the book, article, or website? What are his/her credentials or experience?
- Does the author cite other works? Is there a bibliography?
- Who is the publisher of the book or article? Who is the host of the website?
- What biases do you perceive in the information?
- Is the level and amount of information appropriate for your project?
- Does the information presented contradict other sources you’ve read?
