On the 1887 map of Muncie, the
three-story stone-construction county courthouse is being
built. The ironclad dome with a clock
is under construction.
Single-story frame-construction temporary sheds have been built on
the southwest corner of the block for the project. A single-story adobe building
on the corner houses a blacksmith.
