Spanish Major

In our teaching major in Spanish you will take courses to develop your expertise in the Spanish language and culture as well as education courses to learn how to teach them, such as educational principles, psychology, and methodology.

Course Requirements, 36 hours

SP 201 - Intermediate Spanish 1.

SP 202 - Intermediate Spanish 2.

SP 301 - Conversation.

SP 302 - Composition.

SP 303 - Grammar.

Either

SP 334 - Spanish Civilization and Culture.

SP 335 - Latin-American Civilization and Culture.

And

SP 340 - Introduction to Spanish Linguistics.

SP 360 - Introduction to Hispanic Literary Readings.

SP 401 - History of Spanish Literature.

SP 402 - History of Latin-American Literature.

6 hours from 300 and 400 level SP courses
