French Major Course Requirements:

FR 201 - Intermediate French 1.

Prerequisite: FR 102.

FR 202 - Intermediate French 2.

Prerequisite: FR 201.

FR 301 - Conversation.

Practice in oral French to increase fluency and authenticity through activities and conversation. Prerequisite: two years of college French or the equivalent or permission of the department chairperson.

FR 302 - Composition.

Practice in written French with review of grammatical structures. Prerequisite: two years of college French or the equivalent.

FR 360 - Introduction to French Literary Readings.

Selected readings from several literary genres (e.g., drama, lyric poetry, narrative) drawn from various periods of French literary history; writing on selected literary topics. Prerequisite: two years of college French or permission of the department chairperson.
