Greek option

GRK 101 - Beginning Greek 1.

Introduction to ancient Greek. Emphasizes the alphabet, pronunciation, elementary grammar, and preparation of students for readings in classical and New Testament Greek.

GRK 102 - Beginning Greek 2.

Prerequisite: GRK 101 or its equivalent.

GRK 201 - Intermediate Greek 1.

Intensive grammar review and readings from classical and New Testament sources. Prerequisite: GRK 102 or the equivalent.

GRK 202 - Intermediate Greek 2.

Prerequisite: GRK 201 or the equivalent.

GRK 305 - Homer.

Selected readings from "Illiad" and/or the "Odyssey." Studies the topics of epic composition, dialect, Bronze and Archaic Age archaeology and social organization, and Homeric scholarship. Prerequisite: two years of college Greek.
