
KIIS in Segovia, 2007
Spanish professor Lisa Kuriscak will teach in Segovia, Spain, as part of the Kentucky Institute for International Studies (KIIS) 2008 summer study abroad program. Dr. Kuriscak, Dr. Nelson López (Bellarmine University), and Dr. Melissa Stewart (Western Kentucky University – Program Director) will accompany approximately 30 students from Ball State and other universities while in Segovia from July 1 to August 2.
Students who have completed 18 hours of college-level Spanish are eligible to apply to the program. In Segovia, students live with host families, participate in weekly excursions, and take courses for up to 6 credit hours.
This summer three courses will be taught: Spanish Civilization and Culture, Advanced Conversation and Composition, and Topics in Spanish Cultural Studies: Spanish language in context.
