Computer Technology Option
The computer technology option will prepare you for jobs in information technology. The program will teach you about operating systems, troubleshooting computer systems, and installing and maintaining computer networks.

You'll take courses in computer science, math, and technology. You'll learn about data storage and security, networking fundamentals, and how computers are assembled. You'll also complete a minor in business administration.

To gain real-world experience in today's computer environments, you are also encouraged to complete an internship.

The goals of the Computer Technology Program are to prepare professionals who:

  1. Demonstrate a mastery of the fundamental concepts and theories that underlie the areas of desktop support, systems administration and network administration.
  2. Possess the ability to integrate computer, server and network systems to design, implement, and maintain solutions that meet organizational goals and objectives.
  3. Identify, analyze, and solve technical problems.
  4. Possess effective communications skills.
  5. Apply effective team building skills.
  6. Operate in a professional and ethical manner.
  7. Demonstrate the managerial expertise to successfully implement identified projects.
