Dr. Mary Annette Rose, Department of Technology, received the Rawlings Outstanding Distance Education Teaching Award, recognizing her commitment to long distance learning from the School of Extended Education. The Rawlings Award was established in 2002, and is given to a professor who is most dedicated to teaching education courses at off-campus venues.
Earlier this year, Dr. Rose organized EnviroTech - an online seminar series available to teachers throughout the nation. This series helped more than 20 technology educators and 400 students evaluate the effects technology decisions have on their environment and health.
