Transfer Student Information

The purpose of articulation agreements is to provide a mechanism whereby individuals graduating with a specified degree of Applied Associate in Science (A.A.S.) from any of the approved campuses of Ivy Tech State College/Community College of Indiana (IVSTC/CCI) would be eligible to complete the requirements for the B.S. degree in Industry and Technology from the Department of Technology at Ball State University.  Such eligibility is subject to the conditions below.

Articulation Assumptions
Graduates of the IVST/CCI A.A.S. degree programs in Construction Technology, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Design Technology, and Visual Communications who are accepted into the ball State University Department of Technology and who have successfully completed the graduation requirements for a B.S. degree as specified by the Ball State University Undergraduate Catalog, 2000-2002 will be awarded a degree of Bachelor of Science in Industry and Technology.

The articulation agreements are consistent with the Commission for Higher Education's "State Policy on Associate Degree Programs offered at Public Institutions in Indiana. The relationship between the faculty and administration of IVST/CCI and Ball State University will continue to be a spirit of cooperation which provides the basis for all articulation agreements."

All students of IVST/CCI applying for admission to Ball State University and the Department of Technology must meet the transfer and retention standards of Ball State University.

In the event of program changes and course content, each institution will formally communicate with the other institution all changes affecting this agreement before the changes are implemented.

NOTE:  Initial admission to Ball State University may NOT transfer in all credits from an A.S. Degree.  Please make an appointment to meet with the Chairperson of the Department of Technology for additional information for transfer of your remaining credits.
