Graduates of the program are prepared to teach in career and technical programs in high schools, area career and technical education centers, and other technical institutions.

Career and technical education teachers may serve as trade or occupational teachers or as instructors of related subjects. Teachers may also train apprentices or workers who attend part-time or during evening classes.

By completing additional course work, career and technical education teachers may become certified as cooperative career and technical education coordinators
