:: Graduate

Application Procedures - Graduate applicants must:

  1. Have have a cumulative grade point average from their first bachelor's degree of at least 2.75 (on a 4.0 grade scale)
  2. MBA applicants, must have an acceptable combination of cumulative grade point average from first degree and score on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT).  Ball State's GMAT code is 1051
  3. Meet the all admission requirements established by the department to which they are applying (e.g. GRE scores, auditions, writing samples, portfolios, etc.).  For complete details on departmental requirements, please refer to the graduate school website.
  4. Complete the   International Student Admission Application 
  5. Submit an application fee of $40.00  U.S. (applications for admission will not processed without payment of the $40.00 application fee)
  6. Submit official TOEFL score – Ball State's code is 1051
  7. Submit an autobiographical statement (300-500 words)
  8. Submit a resume
  9. Submit three letters of recommendation (five for doctoral applicants)
  10. Submit official academic records (transcript) and official diploma or certificate demonstrating successful completion of a four-year bachelor degree program.  Academic records from all universities attended must be received in English and the native language.
  11. Provide on the application for admission a complete educational history from secondary school or your 13th year through the highest level of education completed. Failure to list all institutions attended and the dates of attendance could result in dismissal.
  12. Provide official financial support documents (typically an official bank statement) from yourself, a relative, or sponsor demonstrating that sufficient funds are available to support your education at Ball State for a minimum of twelve months.Permanent Residents or U.S. Citizens do not have to send financial documentation.   

  13. If you are currently studying in the U.S. we will need the following information

    1. Copy of your Passport
    2. I-94
    3. I-20
    4. Official transcripts from the U.S.
  14. Passport size picture (like one from your passport page)
