:: Freshman

Application procedures -- Freshman applicants must:
  1. Have at least a 2.0 grade point average (on a 4.0 grade scale)
  2. Have completed a minimum of 12 years of primary and secondary school undertaking a university-preparatory curriculum
  3. Complete the International Student Admission Application 
  4. Submit an application fee of $40.00 U.S. (applications for admission will not processed without payment of the $40.00 application fee)
  5. Submit official TOEFL score – Ball State's code is 1051
  6. Submit an autobiographical statement (300-500 words)
  7. Submit three letters of recommendation
  8. Submit official academic records for the past 4 years of secondary school and an official diploma or certificate demonstrating successful completion of secondary school. 
  9. Provide official financial support documents (typcially an official bank statement) from yourself, a relative, or sponsor demonstrating that sufficient funds are available to support your education at Ball State for a minimum of twelve months

Students who have taken the SAT or ACT examinations should consider submitting their results as strong scores will be highly valued during scholarship consideration.  Ball State's SAT code 1051 is and ACT code is 1176.
