The Deadline has been extended to May 12. Full payment must be received with your complete application by this date.

Ball State University Interior Design Program is pleased to announce its first summer workshop: the Youth Summer Design Forum. The workshop aims at the education and training of forty (40) high school students (9-12 grades) each summer, beginning summer 2008. Participation in this workshop not only will assist the participants to make their final decision before committing themselves to four years of rigorous studying this field but will also assist them to develop a portfolio, a required components of the application in many good interior design programs. Participants will be selected from those whose applications demonstrate interest and creative ability in the field of interior design and superior achievement in high school classes.

The Forum participants will attend Ball State University for ten days of intensive training June 24 to July 3, 2008. Participants will be staying in a BSU dormitory. The total fee will be $1039.00 per participant and will cover housing accommodation, three meals a day, snacks, customized course book, drafting supplies/tools, and transportation to field trips in Muncie and Indianapolis.

  • Application with $350.00 deposit must be received by March 22, 2008.
  • Second payment of $300.00 is due on April 22.
  • Final payment of $389.00 is due on May 12.

Residence life and the education environment at Ball State are additional firsthand experiences during the Forum.  Field trips and recreational activities between classroom sessions or after will provide a breather for the students.
