Dr. Bill Liston, former London Center director and emeritus professor of English, welcomes arrivals to the London Centre alumni reunion.
Alumni from the programs' first year, 1972 made up the largest single class, including Cynthia and Steve Guy, Greg Evans, Paula (Adams) Peterson, Jeff and Betsy (Dick) Laslie and Jean Ann Harcourt. Special greetings to that group were sent by fax and e-mail from the family of Dr. William Lindblad, the founding resident director of the London Centre.
Dr. Jim Coffin welcomed the attendees and showed images describing the current program facilities in London. Coffin noted that demand for the program remains strong in spite of having forty other attractive overseas study options available.
International Advancement director Dr. Martin Limbird thanked the more than 30 alumni who contributed to the London Center Scholarship fund (#5350) this year. He noted that gifts to the Ball State University Foundation can make the London experience possible for less fortunate students. Limbird received strong encouragement when asking if there was interest in organizing future gatherings at Homecoming or even in London.
