Orhun Guldiken, a 2006 graduate of Istanbul University's faculty of business is the 2006-07 recipient of the Taftali Endowment Scholarship. This year's award is $2,000.
Guldiken was born in 1983 and is a 2002 graduate of College St . Joseph, a French language medium high school. He has completed l internships in marketing and finance in Istanbul, and is considering an emphasis in finance in his BSU graduate studies, building on his well-developed quantitative skills.
"I plan to finish my MBA in 12 months", Guldiken said, then consider either further graduate studies or gaining professional experience with a major accounting or insurance firm in the U.S. "I am very grateful to Mr. Umit Taftali for creating the scholarship I have this year" he said.
The Taftali Endowed Scholarship was established in 1998 in honor the memory of Umit Taftali's mother.
