More than one hundred persons attended a unique improvisational concert October 21 honoring the memory of Dr. Erdogan Kumcu. Kumcu served Ball State University over twenty-two years until his death April 3, 2004
The concert was performed in the BSU Alumni Center by pianist Hakan Toker, a Turkish-born graduate of the Indiana University School of Music. This performance was part of Toker's state-wide concert tour underwritten by a grant from the Indiana Arts Council. Hakan Toker generously permitted videotaping of his performance to be given to those who shared Erdogan Kumcu's passion for international educational exchange.
