Entrepreneurship alumnus says NO to SPAM

inova
A remarkable new anti-span and anti-virus product has recently been introduced, with thanks to a 1998 MBA entrepreneurship graduate of Ball State University, Thales Panagides.

After joining Inova International Inc. following graduation, Panagides helped the firm develop a business plan that has attracted over $1 million in venture capital. The firms’ principal product, called ESCUDO, provides e-mail protection against unwanted spam and viruses. In addition, it enables companies to enforce e-policy through the creation of custom filters.

During a recent visit to Muncie, Panagides reported his firm is negotiating to provide e-mail security services to several mid-West firms, including the Illinois Board of Education. “This contract demonstrates the confidence major organizations have in our services”, said Panagides. “My MBA experience at Ball State with Professor Don Kuratko and others has given me tools to take our company to a new level of growth.”
